Framed design
The design is shown on 14 count Aida fabric, but you may also use evenweave or fabric with a different count.
Design Area: 7.00″ x 8.93″ (98 x 125 stitches)
– You may opt to omit the secondary streets, drafted in DMC-167 for a more minimalistic look. It is best to decide on this early, as it is better to stitch the local streets, and then the main streets on top of them. – You may also omit the outer gear and the numbers, if you don’t intend to use the embroidery for a clock. – For the clock marking, look for a french knot symbol in the center of the map.

Stitches required: Backstitch, cross stitch, half stitch.
Colors
The listing includes one chart that can be applied for both white and black canvas, with some of the floss colors replaced. Suggested colors:
STEAMPUNK VERSION ON WHITE
– DMC-167 yellow beige
– DMC-918 red copper
– DMC-3853 autumngold-dk
– DMC-838 beige brown – vy dk
STEAMPUNK VERSION ON BLACK
For version on black, use
– DMC-167 yellow beige
– DMC-3853 autumngold-dk
as per instructions and replace
DMC-838 with DMC-918
DMC-918 with DMC-3854 or another light golden color.
MONOCHROME VERSION
Replace all floss colors as follows:
DMC-167 with DMC-414 steel grey or another mid grey color
DMC-3853 with DMC-415 pearl grey or another light grey color
DMC-838 with DMC-310 black
DMC-918 with DMC-310 black
LANDSCAPE VERSION
Replace all floss colors as follows:
DMC-167 full stitches and half stitches (water) with DMC-519 sky blue or another light blue color
DMC-167 back stitches (local streets) with DMC-977 golden brown lt or another beige color
DMC-3853 (parks) with DMC-367 pistachio green or another light green color
DMC-838 (highways) with DMC-349 coral dk or another brown or red color
DMC-918 (roads) with DMC-400 mahogany dk or another mid brown color
